{Madi turns ONE!}

I had the honor of shooting a couple of shots for Madi on her first birthday. Our journey around the park was filled with laughs, chasing ducks, and a lot of things to taste! Happy birthday Madi! Hope you enjoyed your cake as much as the flowers!!

Kathleen+Phil=Engaged!!

Spring in St. Louis is far from predictable! Wednesday it's 82 degrees and by Saturday everyone in the city can be digging through their closet looking for their scarves and boots to trample through 4 inches of snow to get to their car! I'm pretty sure I am one of the few that absolutely LOVE experiencing 3 seasons in one week! Luckily for Kathleen and Phil we were able to slip in a few good shots, and a good cup of coffee, in between our unpredictable weather =) 2011 is full of so much excitement and beautiful couples to photograph. Kathleen and Phil will be getting married in August in Champaign, IL and I.cannot.wait to be a part of their celebration!!!!

My path has crossed with the Trelow family on so many levels. I.love.them. I went to college/church/BSM with Matt Trelow ("Treflow"), Christyn and I became instant friends at D-Now 2009 when I lived in Oklahoma, I totally helped one of the Trelow ladies Christmas shopping when working at the Buckle, Christyn &I have played the most intense game of phone tag for almost a year and still have not gotten our over-priced coffee *hint;)hint* and NOW, senior Andrew Trelow. Okay, so I get that guys don't like getting their pictures taken...but of all the guys I've worked with before...Trelow...you have to be the most patient ever! Maybe it's because you had a crazy friend standing behind me at all times with a quirky comment;) Hope your remaining 2 months are quite the memory!!

Whitney+Jeff=Engaged!

Not only do I love engagement sessions...but I have loved watching these two amazing people fall completely head over heals for each other in the past year. I'll never forget Whitney asking me if I was really okay that she bring a date to my wedding last summer...and now every July 2 she and I will both share a very special anniversary together =) Whit and Jeff will be saying "I Do!!" in Mexico on July 2 of this year...lots more to come of these two!!

Priceless

I looked all over the house this morning for my car charger, fail, went back to the house after I left to make sure I closed the garage door, made a new friend at Enterprise b/c I told them what the Air force sticker a random airmen put on the front door meant, XM radio-SCORE on the free upgrade!!! Drove through an unexpected BLIZZARD, 13 cars in the ditch, 9 on the side of the road, rear-wheel drive rental got stuck in the driveway...three times while listening to someone on Martha Stewart radio discuss Valentine cupcakes...walked 1/2 a mile in 13 degrees, got MOO'd at by a dozen frozen cows, shot 'em while sliding around on an ICY road, thankful I didn't fall like my husband did this morning and break my 5 day old camera, stayed a little longer than usual hoping the wind/snow would pass over, stopped at Cracker Barrel in Marion, then to grandpa's new apartment on the way home, rushing to make it to church to hear the youth speak about their weekend, saw a dog on the road, scratch that, saw 10-15 deer on the road, slam on the brakes-skid 10 feet right into the middle of the pack!! (By the grace of God) they walked away with no more than half an inch to spare!! Wondering if I need glasses, enough cupcake talk, turn off the radio, it's past 6:10 - definitely not making it to church, seriously, phone is dead...Get to the next house and my favorite little girl made me a banner for new office decor. precious. Head home, looking in the back seat to make sure I have my court paperwork for Madison County tomorrow, wondering why news radio is talking about the stupid iphone "confession" app 4 times today. Get home well after 8 to a puppy in the window and a happy husband indulged in frozen pizza and a Ronald Regan documentary. I wonder how church was, I hope my charger turns up...I'll return calls tomorrow, promise.
Get out cheesecake and camera.
